The Process of Learning
Most test prep focuses on content delivery and the application of question-solving techniques—asking students to constantly practice questions. The assumption is that if you keep solving problems, learning will automatically happen. But this approach takes learning itself for granted.
The Original Prep (TOP) addresses what’s missing: the technique of learning. We focus on:
Instead of just practising more, students learn how to learn from their practice.
The Psychology of Preparation
The emotional dimension of test preparation isn’t a minor aspect—it’s fundamental. Yet most programs offer only lip service to it.
Students spend enormous time and energy battling self-doubt, discouragement, lack of motivation, guilt, and fear of failure. These aren’t distractions from preparation; they are the preparation experience for most people.
TOP goes deep into these psychological realities. Rather than simply encouraging students to “stay positive” or suppress difficult emotions, we help them:
The result: students spend more time actually learning and less time struggling with anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. And more importantly, their emotional health or their quality of experience of life improves.
The Original Prep is born out of a desire to help people experience the joy of learning by addressing the psychological, mindset, and process aspects of test preparation.
Most test preparation focuses on content, techniques, and tactics with a very outcome-oriented approach. The Original Prep (TOP) is an attempt to bring the focus to learning.
Many are unable to learn deeply because neither the technique of learning nor the emotional and psychological dimensions of learning are discussed. TOP’s sole focus is to address these aspects.
Once people learn deeply, the entire preparation process becomes naturally joyful.
That individual joy—a natural outcome from deep engagement—is what TOP is after.
